Al Poteet
Candidate 4 Judge

From decorated combat gunship pilot, to Deputy Assistant Secretary for President Reagan, to Republican County Chairman, Al Poteet has always been “in service” to his country and community.  Whether as Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office and Medical Center Director, as CEO of Humana Veterans Healthcare Services, to Executive Director of a Presidential Task Force, he has dedicated his life to serving others.

What I Stand 4

My wife Miriam and I fell in love with Bosque County's beauty and rural lifestyle, leading us to make it our permanent home.  However, I have noticed significant issues in the current leadership of the Bosque County Commissioners Court.  Their agendas lack transparency and provide little information to the public, with decisions often made without meaningful discussion or citizen input.

Needs in Bosque County

Roads, Bridges, and Infrastructure

We need to ensure that our infrastructure can support growth while maintaining safety and accessibility for all residents.

Moratorium on Tax Abatements

I believe we must protect Bosque County taxpayers and ensure that any development in our county is beneficial to our community, not just to outside interests.

Comprehensive County Plan

A strategic approach is essential to guide our county’s growth and development while preserving our rural way of life.  Tactical plans must be instituted to achieve county growth goals and objectives.

Communicating with Residents

I will prioritize transparency and open communication by hosting regular Town Hall meetings to hear from constituents and discuss consequential growth issues.

Get Involved

None of this would be possible without the support of Bosque county residents. If you have the time and willingness to help us make this county a better place for everyone, then we would greatly appreciate you volunteering.

We won't bombard you with emails and phone calls. We'll just tell you what we need and ask if you can help.
